The above picture shows a mounting refuse dumping gradually taken over the pedestrian walkway in the central business district of Madina, a suburb of Accra. This eyesaw is developing amidst the institutionalisation of monthly clean-up exercises and the pledge by the President of the Republic of Ghana to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa during his tenure.

For this to happen the various MMDAs must put in more efforts and innovation to tackle the menace of filth. Ghanaians must adopt the attitude of a Citizen; one with patriotic values who would under no circumstance dent the image of her country with filth. Let us all as Citizens help make Ghana clean!!
