Project Snapshot:
PDA conducted a baseline survey aimed at raising awareness among stakeholders, primary schools, and communities about disaster risks, vulnerability to hazards, and appropriate coping mechanisms. The survey was implemented across four districts in the Upper East Region to inform disaster prevention and risk reduction strategies.
Project Objectives:
- Assess baseline levels of risk awareness and vulnerability to hazards in target communities.
- Identify effective coping mechanisms and areas needing intervention in disaster risk reduction.
- Engage primary schools and local stakeholders in building community resilience.
PDA’s Task:
PDA designed and implemented the baseline survey, ensuring that data was collected from a broad range of community stakeholders and educational institutions.
How We Went About It:
- Developed a survey instrument tailored to the disaster risk context of the Upper East Region.
