Project Snapshot:
PDA co-facilitated both the Civil Society Annual Natural Resource and Environment Parallel Review meeting and the second consultative forum under KASA—the civil society component of the NREG programme. The initiative brought together diverse CSOs to synthesize their perspectives on natural resource and environmental governance and service delivery, providing an alternative review process to complement government-led sector reviews.
Project Objectives:
- Consolidate and synthesize civil society perspectives on natural resource and environment governance.
- Create a platform for CSOs to share experiences on advocacy and monitoring in NRE governance.
- Contribute to an alternative review process that informs government-led annual reviews.
- Facilitate dialogue on government priorities and the KASA programme.
PDA’s Task:
PDA co-facilitated the review meeting and forum, guiding structured discussions and ensuring that stakeholder inputs were effectively consolidated and translated into actionable recommendations.
How We Went About It:
- Workshop Organization: Coordinated and facilitated two major events—a review meeting and a consultative forum—bringing together multiple CSOs.
- Participatory Methods: Employed participatory techniques to encourage open dialogue and collective synthesis of challenges and recommendations.
- Feedback Integration: Collated inputs to complement government-led NRE sector reviews, ensuring a well-rounded perspective on service delivery issues.
