Project Snapshot:
PDA undertook two inception studies for the DFID-funded RAVI (Rights and Voice Initiative) during its early phase. One study resulted in a comprehensive directory of existing funding opportunities for civil society in Ghana, while the other investigated various citizen–government engagement activities taking place in the country.
Project Objectives:
- Compile a directory of funding opportunities available to civil society organizations in Ghana.
- Examine and document existing citizen–government engagement activities to inform RAVI’s strategy.
PDA’s Task:
PDA coordinated the planning workshop, defined the study terms of reference, and conducted the inception studies to generate baseline evidence for RAVI’s further interventions.
How We Went About It:
- Organized a multi-stakeholder planning workshop in Accra to develop the research terms of reference.
- Conducted desk reviews and stakeholder interviews to map funding opportunities and engagement initiatives.
- Synthesized findings into actionable inputs for the national-level research phase.
