Project Snapshot:
PDA provided lead facilitation for two conventions under the STAR-Ghana initiative—a multi-donor pooled funding mechanism designed to enhance the influence of civil society and Parliament in public governance. These thematic conventions gathered approximately 200 grant partners and key stakeholders at each event to learn, share best practices, and discuss strategies for more effective governance of public goods and services.
Project Objectives:
- Facilitate interactive conventions that foster learning and sharing among civil society organizations and stakeholders.
- Enhance the influence of civil society and Parliament in public governance.
- Create a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and strategies for improved public service delivery.
PDA’s Task:
A PDA staff member led the facilitation of the conventions, ensuring smooth event management, active stakeholder participation, and effective knowledge sharing.
How We Went About It:
- Event Facilitation: Organized and led the conventions with a focus on interactive sessions and thematic discussions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Managed logistics and ensured broad representation from grant partners, civil society, and other key stakeholders.
- Knowledge Sharing: Facilitated sessions that promoted the exchange of experiences, challenges, and best practices in public governance.
