Project Snapshot:
PDA was part of the team that conducted the WAFF/SWAPP Ghana Mill Survey. The survey aimed to collect data from oil palm mills across Ghana to assess operational challenges and market conditions, contributing to the sustainability of the palm–oil sector.
Project Objectives:
- Develop and test a survey questionnaire tailored to oil palm mill operations.
- Collect and analyze data from various oil palm mills to understand industry challenges.
- Provide a detailed report with findings to inform programme interventions in the palm–oil sector.
PDA’s Task:
PDA collaborated on developing the survey instrument, administering the survey, transcribing responses, analyzing data, and presenting a comprehensive report on the findings.
How We Went About It:
- Developed and pilot-tested the survey questionnaire in collaboration with the project team.
- Visited multiple oil palm mills to administer the survey and collect data.
- Transcribed, cleaned, and analyzed the data, followed by report preparation.
