Project Snapshot:
PDA, DRT, and ODI form the Learning Partnership for the EOY programme implemented in Ghana and Uganda. The programme aims to enhance the capacity of youth in the construction and agriculture sectors to secure jobs, grow their businesses, and access finance. The Learning Partnership develops an evidence-based understanding of young people’s needs through research, evaluation, policy analysis, knowledge sharing, and multi-sector dialogue.
Project Objectives:
- Develop evidence-based insights into youth needs in the construction and agriculture sectors.
- Enhance youth capacity for employment, entrepreneurship, and financial access.
- Foster multi-sector dialogue and knowledge sharing to improve programme design and outcomes.
PDA’s Task:
PDA supported the Learning Partnership by contributing to research, evaluation, and policy analysis, and by facilitating multi-sector dialogue to ensure the programme effectively addressed youth needs.
How We Went About It:
- Knowledge Development: Conducted comprehensive research and evaluations to identify youth challenges and opportunities.
- Capacity Building: Organized workshops and dialogue sessions to share findings and build stakeholder capacity.
- Multi-Sector Engagement: Facilitated collaborative discussions among government, donors, and civil society to refine programme strategies.
