Oxford Policy Management (OPM) was contracted by FAO to assess the economic impacts of cash transfer programmes across six countries. In Ghana, the focus was on the LEAP cash transfer programme. PDA supported the study by providing two team leaders and six field researchers to conduct a qualitative assessment, exploring the economic impacts of LEAP and its synergies with other social protection programmes.
This national study aimed to explore the challenges and opportunities for promoting women’s rights within Ghana’s pluralistic legal system. Using Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) methods, the study engaged communities, legal professionals, and advocacy groups to assess the effectiveness of existing legal frameworks in protecting women’s rights.
