Community Needs Assessments in Practice
It is always important, effective and cost-efficient when you actively engage community members in responding to their own needs. For this reason, PDA prioritises participatory assessments and community level perspectives in intervention designs and implementation. PDA is currently working with some of our key partners across selected cocoa communities in the Ashanti and Western regions to assess their needs, priorities and together define both internal and external solutions toward addressing or responding to the identified needs or challenges. These assessments are highly participatory and combine traditional and non-traditional research methodologies to gather the relevant data, triangulate findings and validate learnings and recommendations. Midline Impact Evaluation of Babator Irrigated Farming Hub, Ghana – AgDevCo.
The REL team is currently working with the Bath Social Development and Research (Bath SDR) to conduct midline impact assessment of AgDevCo’s Irrigated Farming Hub at Babtor in the Savannah region of Ghana. The PDA team is currently on the field conducting data collection for this assessment.
