Project Snapshot:
As part of a national child protection study, PDA facilitated regional consultative and feedback workshops across all 10 regions of Ghana. These workshops were conducted immediately before and after fieldwork in selected districts, gathering qualitative and quantitative insights from a diverse range of stakeholders. The process enriched the study by integrating additional data and enabling a comprehensive analysis of child protection issues.
Project Objectives:
- Engage local and national stakeholders in a consultative process to enhance the national child protection study.
- Gather additional data and feedback to complement field research findings.
- Foster dialogue on child protection issues among government officials, NGOs, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Enhance the quality and relevance of the final study report through inclusive feedback mechanisms.
PDA’s Task:
PDA played a pivotal role in organizing and facilitating these workshops, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and the seamless integration of feedback into the study process.
How We Went About It:
- Workshop Organization: Coordinated the logistics of consultative and feedback workshops across Ghana’s 10 regions, aligning them with the study’s fieldwork timeline.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Invited a wide range of stakeholders—including government officials, community leaders, and NGO representatives—to ensure diverse perspectives were captured.
- Facilitated Discussions: Guided structured discussions during pre- and post-fieldwork sessions to extract actionable insights and feedback on child protection issues.
- Feedback Integration: Synthesized stakeholder inputs to enrich the data collected during the field research, informing the final analysis and recommendations.
