Project Snapshot:
This study aimed to understand the impact of global financial, food, and fuel crises on vulnerable Ghanaians, with a particular focus on the construction industry. It examined the loss of employment and the coping strategies adopted by affected households, highlighting the vulnerability of children in terms of child protection issues such as child labor, displacement, and family separation.

PDA’s Task:
PDA managed field research and data collection, ensuring robust qualitative insights were gathered on the crises’ impact on vulnerable children and households.
How We Went About It:
- Conducted interviews and focus group discussions with affected families and key stakeholders in the construction sector.
- Analyzed qualitative data to identify critical trends and challenges.
- Synthesized findings to inform policy recommendations and intervention strategies.
