This research examined the challenges faced by marginalized, including migrant, girls within the Dome/Taifa community to determine the feasibility of establishing an academy. The study explored factors affecting school attendance, community reception of an academy, and potential tensions between marginalized girls and the wider community.
Project Objectives:
- Assess the barriers preventing marginalized girls from attending school.
- Evaluate community attitudes toward the establishment of an academy.
- Determine the feasibility and potential impact of setting up an academy for marginalized girls.
PDA’s Task:
PDA conducted the situation and feasibility analysis, engaging with community members and stakeholders to gather insights and evaluate potential benefits and challenges.
How We Went About It:
- Conducted interviews and focus groups with community members, girls, and local leaders.
- Reviewed existing literature and community data to contextualize challenges.
- Analyzed findings to identify key factors influencing school attendance and community dynamics.
