Project Snapshot:
This study explored key issues related to marriage and child maintenance in Ghanaian communities, using participatory research approaches to understand local concerns and legal challenges.
Project Objectives:

PDA’s Task:
PDA trained and supervised 12 law students to conduct qualitative research using Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) methods in four pilot communities. The team synthesized findings into a final report to guide legal policy discussions.
How We Went About It:
- Training & Supervision: Provided capacity building for law students on PRA methodologies.
- Community Engagement: Conducted focus group discussions and interviews with affected individuals and stakeholders.
- Data Analysis: Examined patterns in responses to identify key legal and social issues.
- Report Development: Compiled research findings into a structured report with policy recommendations.
